Petersen Gym and Pool  |  project date  1998 A small gymnasium accessory building on an upslope site. The Olympic-length pool was excavated directly into the slope to create an experience similar to the canyons of the Colorado River. The thick, suspended slabs of the gymnasium's concrete walls suggest the weight lifter's exertion.
